Greenhouse Gases Emissions Inventories

To properly approach a problem one has to know it well. How much GHG a company emits? Where? How? ATA answers to theese questions systematically tracing the direct and indirect Carbon emissions from the company’s activities. ATA builds a Carbon Inventory. This is a vary powerful planning and control tool in many senses. In this area the ISO 14.064-1 standard is used.

Opportunities to Reduce Emissions

We carefully identify and analyse the possibilities of emission reductions considering different aspects: technological improvements, investment needs, operational costs, risks, revenues. Case by case, based in the GHG emissions inventory, opportunities are screened making it possible to soundly decide about their implementation. Carbon neutralizing possibilities are also studied in this phase.

Carbon Credit Projects

Carbon Credits are originated within emission reductions systems, particularly the Kyoto Protocol. One who performs and certifies the emissions reduction will be granted with an additional income through the sale of the Credits into the international market. It is an important financial incentive, mainly by means of the CDM – Clean Development Mechanism of the Kyoto Protocol. ATA develops the complete cycle of activities involved in the elaboration, validation, approval, registration and sale of Credits for the CDM, the CCx and other voluntary markets.

Carbon Offsetting Projects

Getting Carbon Neutral in products, services or events is a growing concept in the market. Companies not only seek to seduce Carbon emissions but also to offset the remaining emissions by the acquisition Carbon Credits. It’s the so called Voluntary Market, where ATA provides services as well.

Emissions Reduction Policies – Carbon Budgets

The approach to Climate Change problem should not be isolated or punctual, opportunist. The issue claims for a continuous sequence of actions under a systematic decision process It’s programmatic, a policy issue. ATA supports companies do build and manage this process. To continuously reduce emissions, year after year, this is what will secure the future for companies and markets. Carbon Budgets is one of the tools ATA develops in this area.
